The MIC is a transformative $2 Billion transit and transportation hub that supports connectivity to Miami-Dade’s Metrorail, Tri-Rail commuter rail (tri-county), local inter bus services, a rental car facility and will soon link to Amtrak’s national railroad.

MiPlan was developed in 2008 by the City of Miami in anticipation of climate change impacts, with forward thinking measures to plan for the City’s future. It focuses on the City’s built environment, energy consumption, transportation sector, land use and adaptation measures. 

The George Barley Water Prize was a groundbreaking $10 Million prize led by the Everglades Foundation to find a cost effective technology to remove excess phosphorus from water bodies. The global competition helped to advance cutting edge technologies, and brought attention to one of the world’s most pressing issues. 

The Wagner Creek Greenspace Project was an urban restoration project that highlighted one of Florida’s most polluted waterways. It provided a vision to transform the hidden creek into a restored asset that could benefit Miami’s Health District, while replenishing a valuable watershed that is intrinsically linked to the Miami River and Biscayne Bay.

The Bicycle Master Plan was developed to provide the City of Coral Gables with a vision and blueprint for a citywide network of bicycle and pedestrian policies and investments. 

The Community Resilience Pod was created by The Atlantic Council to help aid in natural disasters, including public health emergencies. The shipping container was transformed as a solar powered mobile structure to serve the community with interactive climate and Ag programming. Permanent Resilience Hubs are now being planned across Miami-Dade County.
